This is a high quality lithograph reproduction concert poster for the mighty Hank Williams' October 17 1952 show at the venerable Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa OK. The country music icon plays the music showcase icon of the midwest. The singer, guitarist, and songwriter was definitely an icon of country music and rock 'n' roll, and one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. A leading exponent of the Honky Tonk style, he had numerous hit records with over a dozen #1 charted songs. His charismatic performances and succinct compositions are legendary. His songbook is one of the backbones of country music, and several are pop standards as well. This show was one of his last, as he tragically died at the age of 29 barely two months later. His legacy will never die however, leaving a lasting catalogue that has been covered by a virtual who's who of 20th century musicians.
