    Description

An authentic 1816 N-6 R2 large cent in PCGS AU-53. The Wright book notes N-6 is the boldest strike regarding curls for the date. This coin pleases in that respect with a very bold portrait. Splendid surfaces.  Some 1816 cents are believed to have been coined in December 1815 in advance of release. STATESOF somewhat close together in legend  similar to N-3 or N-9.  The Pierre Fricke example in PCGS MS-63 BN realized just under ,000 and the Twin Leaf MS-64 just over ,000. A splendid AU-53 must have significant value! Free shipping!
